Neck Lift & Platysmaplasty
Sharp, defined neck contour and elegant cervicofacial angle.
"A Neck Lift (Platysmaplasty) restores definition to the jawline and neck by tightening lax skin, removing excess submental fat, and reuniting separated platysma muscle bands. It resolves neck sagging and re-creates a sharp, youthful neck-to-chin angle."
Your journey
Pre-Op Marking & Planning
Pre-operative analysis of skin excess, fat layers, and platysmal muscle banding.
Incisions & Access
Discreet incisions made within the natural submental crease and behind ear lobes.
Fat Reduction & Liposuction
Liposuction and targeted excision of superficial and subplatysmal fat deposits.
Platysmaplasty Tightening
Central tightening and suturing of separated platysmal bands to construct a firm internal corset.
Skin Trimming & Closure
Redundant skin is tailored and excised with precision tension-free cosmetic suturing.
Rehabilitation
Inpatient stay
Overnight hospital stay with continuous medical monitoring and initial compression garment.
Suture removal
Removal of submental and post-auricular sutures; swelling begins to decrease rapidly.
Daily activities
Compression garment transitioned to nighttime use only. Return to light work and daily routines.
Physical activity
Resume moderate athletic activities and fitness regimens.
Final contouring
Final neck contouring fully settles with mature, faint scar lines.
Scar progression
How the scar changes — from surgery to final result
Scars are placed within natural skin folds and become virtually unnoticeable over time. Proper care and sun protection speed up the fading process. For most patients, the scar blends with the surrounding skin within 12–18 months.
Suture removal
The scar is pink-red and slightly raised. Scar care begins — silicone gel or tape.
Active healing
Colour darkens to deep pink. The scar may thicken — this is normal. Avoid sun exposure and wear compression garments.
Maturation
The scar lightens, softens, and flattens. Itching and heightened sensitivity fade.
Final appearance
The scar takes on a silvery-beige tone and becomes barely visible, aligning with underwear lines.
