SMAS Facelift & Neck Lift
Deep and long-lasting youthfulness.
"SMAS facelift is the gold standard in facial rejuvenation, working on the deep muscular-aponeurotic layer (SMAS). By lifting structural tissue rather than pulling the skin alone, it delivers natural-looking results, restoring jawline and neck definition for 10–15 years."
Your journey
Consultation & Assessment
Comprehensive analysis of lower/mid-face aging, jawline laxity, and neck muscle tone.
Incision & Access
Incisions follow natural curves around the ear and within the temporal hairline for concealed scarring.
SMAS Layer Elevation & Fixation
The deep SMAS layer is mobilized, lifted vertically, and anchored securely to reconstruct face contours.
Redundant Skin Resection
Excess skin is trimmed without excessive tension, preserving natural facial expressions and earlobe shape.
Precision Closure & Recovery
Ultra-fine cosmetic sutures are placed, followed by application of a compressive facial garment.
Rehabilitation
Inpatient care
Hospital stay for 1–2 days. Continuous wearing of compression mask and drain removal.
Suture removal
Sutures are removed. Swelling and bruising show significant reduction.
Social return
Compression mask is worn overnight only. Natural contours and jawline start to show.
Full recovery
Return to sports and physical exercises. Tissue sensitivity fully returns.
Final result
Tissues and scars fully mature. Facial appearance refreshed by 10–15 years.
Scar progression
How the scar changes — from surgery to final result
Scars are placed within natural skin folds and become virtually unnoticeable over time. Proper care and sun protection speed up the fading process. For most patients, the scar blends with the surrounding skin within 12–18 months.
Suture removal
The scar is pink-red and slightly raised. Scar care begins — silicone gel or tape.
Active healing
Colour darkens to deep pink. The scar may thicken — this is normal. Avoid sun exposure and wear compression garments.
Maturation
The scar lightens, softens, and flattens. Itching and heightened sensitivity fade.
Final appearance
The scar takes on a silvery-beige tone and becomes barely visible, aligning with underwear lines.
